Before it was work, it was wonder.
IT COULD
BE
BEAUTIFUL.
I wanted to see what I could make.
I still do.
That wonder found its way into software.
An idea.
Then it exists.
As a child, computers gave my curiosity somewhere to go. I could change something, try it, and watch an idea begin to work.
Years later, I still love that moment when the pieces come together. Something that only lived in your mind is suddenly real.
Which makes carelessness hard to live with.
We can
do better.
The same fault. Another workaround. Another day spent on a problem nobody has stopped to understand.
What gets to me is the attention it consumes. All that life spent going around again.
STILL
ON FIRE.
I used to meet that frustration by fighting harder.
The need to win grew quiet.
Now there’s room to listen, to play,
to let a better idea change my mind.
There is a different way to carry the fire.
ROOM
TO BE.

I don’t need every moment to become an achievement.
There is room for quiet. For laughter. For something that has no business case at all.
And when I return to the work,
I can choose it freely.
The wonder is still where it began.
IT COULD
BE
BEAUTIFUL.
A thought made real with care.
A problem understood deeply enough
that it stops taking from us.
More attention for what we love.
More room for what we might become.
That is why I build.
